Opportunities, challenges and tips for funding innovation in health sector

Description of the session

Review of public funding opportunities for innovation ideas and projects in the health sector. Opportunities in the European collaborative programmes Horizon Europe, Mission Cancer and EU4Health will be analysed, and tips and best practices for participating in collaborative projects will be assessed as well. In addition, the impact of other European funds (NGEU) will be deal.

Short Bio

She holds a degree in Pharmacy and a PhD in Molecular Biology by UAM. After a brief postdoctoral stay at Centre for Applied Medical Research, his career focused on Innovation Management in the Health sector at Zabala.  Reference expert in the area of Health in Zabala, participates as a member of Zabala’s team in several collaborative projects funded in H2020 and Horizon Europe such as:

RBDCOV: Development of a recombinant protein vaccine against SARSCoV2

DocTis: Use of systems biology approaches for the identification of optimal personalised therapies for inflammatory diseases

HIVACAR: Evaluation of combining immunotherapies for a functional cure of HIV infection, based on mRNA vaccines among others.
